Two Hospitalized After Late-Night Apartment Fire in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A Saturday night apartment fire in central Phoenix left two people injured, including one man in critical condition, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

Fire crews responded just after 10:30 p.m. to reports of a blaze near 17th Avenue and Camelback Road. When firefighters arrived, they discovered the fire burning on the second story of the apartment building.

Emergency teams quickly deployed hose lines to contain the flames and evacuated residents from the complex. The fire was extinguished without injury to any firefighters.

A man found at the scene was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, while a woman was also hospitalized and reported to be in stable condition.

Officials have not yet determined what caused the fire. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
